| Summary: | Blastoids are very rare in the Hunsrück Slate. 2024 the only known up till now described species were redescribed. Pentremitidea was renamed in Lotusoblastus. A lot of blastoids in private collections complete our knowledge about the skeletal morphology and palaeobiology. The supposed settlement with a root at the bottom of the sea could not be verified, but the sessil lifestyle in association with crinoids could. |
