| Summary: | The author presents Lower Devonian fossils from the Lingenbach-quarry near Rhaunen. After a description of the geographic position, mining history and geology, the fossils found are summed up. These are the crinoids Acanthocrinus lingenbachensis and -heroldi, brachiopods, corals, cephalopods, bryozoans, molluscs and trilobites. An attempt has been made to explain the special life-community by comparison with the famous Bundenbach localities, which are not far away. |
