| Summary: | Wouter Südkamp writes about the deposition of his main collection from the Bundenbacher Slate quarries in the Hunsrück-Museum at Simmern. This includes nearly 600 slabs that have been prepared and labelled, a quarter of which were X-rayed. Some of these finds have been described scientifically. With this handover, the storage and safety of this unique collection has been secured for the future. The Hunsrück-Museum now owns the second largest collection in Rhineland-Palatinate and has the potential to provide a representative regional collection. |
