| Summary: | Body fossils of holothurians are very rare. In this paper the morphology, distribution worldwide (number, age and location) and especially the Lower Devonian Hunsrück Slate species Palaeocucumaria hunsrueckiana are described. Palaeocucumaria documents the evolution of the morphology of holothurians. There is a new elasipodid species from the Hunsrück Slate too. |
