| Summary: | The roofing slate village Lütz is situated in a side valley of the river Moselle. The author describes the mining history, geology, facies and collected fossils on the dumps, which are more abundant than known before. Among them are bryozoens, corals, molluscs, trilobites, echinoderms, tentaculitoids and some terrestrial plants. The slate is younger than the famous one from Bundenbach and dates from the upper Lower Devonian (Kondel subdivision). |
